Belonging, Being and Becoming
At Kunyung Preschool we believe that children’s learning is characterised by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) principles of Belonging, Being and Becoming:
- children belong to a family, culture and neighbourhood.
- being reminded us to focus on children’s rights to be a child and experience life’s joys.
- becoming involves children building and shaping their identities through experiences and relationships.
Our philosophy is that children learn through play. Strategies such as modelling, demonstrating, questioning and explaining engage the children in shared thinking and problem solving that extends their learning and thinking.
We also host several incursions each year to excite and educate our preschoolers.
